Accepted Payment Methods
We accept payments exclusively through PayPal. You can complete your purchase using:
- Your PayPal account balance
- A linked bank account through PayPal
- Debit or credit cards via PayPal Guest Checkout (no PayPal account required)
At checkout, you’ll be securely redirected to PayPal to complete your payment. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can still pay with a debit or credit card as a guest.
Note: Card payments will appear on your statement as “PAYPAL Brickpetal” rather than our store name directly.
When Your Payment Is Processed
Your payment is authorized immediately at checkout. You may see:
- A temporary “pending” charge on your account
- This authorization hold verifies your payment method is valid
- The hold will either complete as a final charge within 1-3 business days or be released if your order doesn’t proceed
The final charge will appear once your order enters production, typically within 1-2 business days after purchase.
Secure Payment Processing
All payments are processed through PayPal’s secure system:
- PCI-DSS compliant payment processing
- SSL/TLS encryption for all transactions
- We never see or store your full card details
- PayPal handles all financial information directly
Your payment information is protected by PayPal’s security measures, not stored on our servers.
Billing Details & Fraud Protection
PayPal uses standard security checks to protect against fraud:
- Address Verification System (AVS)
- Card Security Code (CVV) validation
- Fraud pattern analysis
In some cases, your order may be briefly held for additional verification. If this occurs:
- We’ll contact you via email to resolve any questions
- Please respond promptly to avoid delays
- Ensure your billing address matches your bank records
Currency & Taxes
All transactions are processed in US dollars (USD). Any applicable sales tax will be:
- Calculated based on your shipping address
- Clearly displayed before you complete payment
- Included in your order total
You’ll see the exact amount you’ll be charged, including any taxes, before confirming your order.
Refunds
When a refund is approved according to our Return & Refund Policy, it will be processed back to your original PayPal payment method. Refund timing depends on your payment provider:
- PayPal balance: Typically 1-3 business days
- Linked bank account: Usually 3-5 business days
- Credit/debit cards: Generally 5-7 business days
You’ll receive a confirmation email when your refund has been processed. The time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
Payment Issues or Disputes
If you encounter payment problems:
For failed payments:
- Verify your payment information is correct
- Check with your bank for any restrictions
- Try an alternative payment method through PayPal
- If issues persist, contact our support team
For duplicate charges:
- Check if one charge is still pending (it may resolve automatically)
- If both charges complete, contact us immediately with your order number
Recurring Payments
We do not offer subscription services or recurring payments. Each order is a one-time transaction that you must initiate manually through our website.
Third-Party Payment Services
PayPal is our exclusive payment processor. We do not accept:
- Direct credit card payments
- Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.)
- Buy-now-pay-later services
- Bank transfers or checks
- Any payment method outside of PayPal’s system
All payments must be processed through PayPal’s secure checkout.
Chargebacks & Dispute Handling
If you have concerns about your order or payment:
- First contact our support team at support@brickpetal.com
- Provide your order number and details about the issue
- Allow us 1-2 business days to investigate and respond
We’re committed to resolving legitimate concerns quickly and fairly. Chargebacks should only be used after you’ve given us opportunity to address the issue.
Refund Timing vs Payment Timing
While we process approved refunds promptly, the time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on:
- Your original payment method
- Your bank’s processing times
- PayPal’s settlement schedule
PayPal refunds to balance are fastest, while card refunds may take additional time to post to your statement.
Deposits & Partial Payments
We do not accept deposits or partial payments. Each order must be paid in full at the time of purchase to enter production.
Authorization Hold Explanation
When you place an order, you may see:
- A temporary “pending” charge on your account
- This is an authorization hold, not a completed charge
- It verifies your payment method is valid
- Will either complete as a charge (usually within 1-3 days) or be released
The authorization amount matches your order total and will update to a final charge once your order enters production.
Relationship to Return Policy
Our Return & Refund Policy determines all refund eligibility. Refunds are only issued:
- For approved returns as outlined in that policy
- After we’ve received and inspected returned items (when required)
- To your original PayPal payment method
All refund requests must follow the process described in our Return Policy.
